Qualifications and requirements

• A recognised BEd degree, or a relevant degree with a PGCE, appropriate to the subjects and phases to be taught.
• Valid SACE registration and adherence to the SACE Code of Professional Ethics.
• Sound knowledge of the Senior Phase Creative Arts curriculum and relevant teaching experience.
• Appropriate training and practical competence in the art forms offered by the school. Applicants must indicate their specialisations in Visual Arts, Drama, Music and/or Dance.
• The ability to teach languages is essential. Applicants must specify the languages, grades and levels they are qualified and experienced to teach, including Home Language or First Additional Language where applicable.
• Knowledge of CAPS and applicable IEB assessment requirements for the allocated language subjects.
• Strong classroom management, communication, organisational and digital teaching skills.
• A commitment to Christian education and learners’ academic, creative and spiritual development.
• A current police clearance certificate and willingness to undergo the school’s safeguarding and suitability checks.
• Experience organising productions, performances or exhibitions will be an advantage.
• First aid and CPR certification will be an advantage.
