PQ Accountant - German Speaking

A unique advisory firm based in Malta is seeking aGerman-speaking Part-Qualified Accountant to provide accounting support and guidance to their German-speaking clientele. In this role, you will work closely with the Managing Director and Co-Founder, assisting clients based in both Germany and Malta.

This is ahybridrole that offers a salary ofup to €38K.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Manage and support a varied client portfolio based in Malta and Germany
• Produce accurate, timely, and compliant financial reports and documentation
• Assist in preparing management accounts, VAT returns, and reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain general ledgers and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve accounting queries and provide guidance
• Collaborate with tax advisors and auditors where necessary
• Contribute to process improvements and ensure adherence to regulatory standards

Skills & Experience:

• Part-qualified in ACCA or holding a university degree in Accounting or Finance
• Fluent in German (non-negotiable) and English (written and spoken)
• 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role
• Experience in client interaction and portfolio management
• Good understanding of Tax and VAT principles
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to explain financial data to non-financial audiences
