Your day-to-day Â
Manage and monitor support interactions, serving as an internal advocate for strategic customers, responding to customer escalations, and proactively escalating when neededÂ
Meet regularly with clients to review support interactions, system status, key issues, emerging threats and how to combat them using Proofpoint products and servicesÂ
Develop deep understanding of customer’s business and operational needsÂ
Maintain deep practical technical knowledge of Proofpoint’s integration within the customer's environment, including network, security, systems administration, and messaging managementÂ
Develop and oversee a comprehensive strategy to meet complex customer requirements utilizing Proofpoint’s solutionsÂ
Provide proactive recommendations that protect our customer’s information assets, leveraging the Proofpoint product suiteÂ
Identify and prioritize short term and long-term goalsÂ
Plan and lead process improvement initiatives tailored to improve customer satisfaction with the services and interaction with the Proofpoint TeamÂ
Plan, document, and identify risks and challenges for production changes that span multiple services or technologiesÂ
Monitors levels customer satisfaction and escalates customer concerns as necessaryÂ
Responsible for scheduling own time and for quality completion of multiple tasks within a varying environment of changing constraintsÂ
Uses independent judgment within broad parametersÂ
Designs and implements solutions to complex problems with minimum supervisionÂ
Provide technical guidance to customer teams and respond to enquiries regarding product features and functionalityÂ

Email-Centric Threat hunting & Detection Â
Lead proactive, hypothesis-driven threat hunting focused on email-borne threats, including phishing, business email compromise (BEC), credential harvesting, malware delivery, and abuse of trusted servicesÂ
Analyze messaging telemetry, email headers, URLs, attachments, and user interaction data to identify low-signal, evasive, or novel attack patternsÂ
Correlate customer email data with Proofpoint threat intelligence to uncover emerging attacker infrastructure, techniques, and social engineering trendsÂ
Investigate suspicious or ambiguous email activity to determine attacker intent, scope of impact, and risk to users and the organizationÂ
Translate threat hunting findings into actionable recommendations, detection improvements, and preventative controls using Proofpoint solutionsÂ
Partner with internal threat research, detection engineering, and product teams to share email-centric threat insights and improve platform-wide protectionsÂ
Deliver clear, customer-facing briefings on email threat hunting results, trends, and lessons learned, tailored to both technical and executive audiencesÂ
Â
What you bring to the teamÂ
3+ years of industry experience in a client/professional service, sales engineer, senior support engineer, IT operations management, or senior engineer role with exposure to multiple technology areasÂ
Managed security or consultancy experience is requiredÂ
Knowledge of data communication concepts and technologies, specifically email and networkingÂ
Develop innovative ways to leverage existing data and correlate customer data with other sets available at ProofpointÂ
Working knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, and Microsoft ExchangeÂ
A history of successfully motivating and inspiring coworkers your team and ensure they work efficiently and effectivelyÂ
Ability to effectively work in a team environment as well as independentlyÂ
Must be proactive and have outstanding verbal and written communication skillsÂ
The successful candidate will have relevant experience with Proofpoint products and understand threat protectionÂ
A deep understanding and up-to-date handle on the evolving threat landscape, giving briefings to customers, prospects and internal groups to spread threat intelligence landscape awarenessÂ
Proactive, self-starter driven by setting and achieving goalsÂ
Background in security, especially around threat actor tactics, techniques, and proceduresÂ
