Description:
This fully remote contract position involves managing tax compliance duties related to various state and local taxes.
The role requires proficiency in generic office software and tax-specific applications.
Responsibilities include preparing tax returns, handling tax payments, and supporting audits.
Key Responsibilities
Complete state and local tax compliance tasks, including processing bills and preparing returns.
Understand tax return filing requirements and gather necessary information for timely submissions.
Tabulate mileage and fuel data for company vehicles and verify exemption certificates.
Assist in maintaining compliance with tax return filings and state payment requirements.
Provide support during Federal, State, and local tax audits.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
1 year of experience in a business or accounting office environment.
Knowledge of business tax compliance processes and procedures.
Advanced proficiency in generic office software, particularly spreadsheet applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
