Assistant Vice President, Fund Accounting Technology Engineer

Job Description

Antares Capital is seeking a hands-on Assistant Vice President, Fund Accounting Technology Engineer to serve as a senior technical owner and engineer for the firm's enterprise Fund Accounting platform. This role can be located in Chicago or New York.

The individual will initially play a key role in the implementation of the platform, including configuration, development, data conversion, integrations, testing and production readiness. Following implementation, the role will provide ongoing engineering and technical ownership of the platform and its integration with Antares' broader investment, accounting, treasury and data ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines strong SS&C Geneva development experience, including RSL, with investment/fund accounting knowledge and enterprise integration skills. The individual will partner closely with Fund Accounting, Investment Operations, Treasury, Valuations, Data and Technology teams to translate business and accounting requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior Technology owner and hands-on engineer for the Fund Accounting platform across production and non-production environments.

• Design, develop, test and maintain Geneva RSL reports, extracts and data interfaces, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.

• Configure and enhance Geneva functionality, workflows and accounting-related platform components.

• Partner with Fund Accounting to support investment accounting, positions and lots, accruals, OID/deferred fees, valuations, NAV, period close, expenses and investor/partnership accounting.

• Design and support integrations with enterprise platforms including OMS, loan administration, Security/Reference Master, Price Master, GTreasury, D365, OneStream, fund administrators and enterprise data/reporting platforms.

• Develop and support APIs, data feeds, SFTP/batch processes, data mappings, validation controls and automated reconciliation processes.

• Support data conversion and migration, including opening positions/lots, accounting balances, historical data and reconciliation to legacy systems and fund administrators.

• Lead technical troubleshooting of production issues across Geneva configuration, RSL, data, integrations and accounting processes, coordinating with SS&C where required.

• Support platform upgrades, regression testing, releases, monitoring, access controls, disaster recovery and technical documentation.

• Partner with business and Technology teams to automate manual processes, improve data quality and controls, and reduce reliance on spreadsheets and one-off solutions.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or related field.

• 8–12 years of experience supporting or developing enterprise financial/investment systems.

• Strong hands-on experience with SS&C Geneva, including RSL development, configuration, reporting and production support.

• Strong understanding of the Geneva data model and investment/fund accounting concepts, including positions, lots, accruals, cost basis, P&L, valuations, NAV and accounting periods.

• Experience designing and supporting APIs, system integrations, data feeds and automated reconciliation processes.

• Strong SQL, relational database, data mapping and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with financial-system implementations, data conversion, testing, releases and production support.

• Ability to translate accounting and business requirements into technical designs and work effectively across Technology, Fund Accounting and Operations.

Preferred

• Experience supporting private credit, private markets, leveraged loans or alternative investment funds.

• Experience with Geneva RDL/SSRS, Workflow Manager, loaders/imports, APIs/web services or related Geneva development capabilities.

• Experience integrating Geneva with OMS, loan administration, treasury, valuation, GL, data warehouse and reporting platforms.

• Knowledge of IBOR/ABOR, partnership/investor accounting, fund expenses and third-party fund administrator processes.

• Experience working in a controlled, audited financial-services environment.

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Actual base salary within the specified range is comprised of several components, including but not limited to applicant's skill, prior relevant experience, specific degrees and certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and the location of the position.

This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance).

Base Salary Range

$135,000 - $165,000
