EllisDon is growing, and we’re looking for a sharp, driven Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us hire the people who build our business. You will own full-cycle recruitment across a range of roles, act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, and find great candidates for our projects. We’re looking for strong recruiting instincts, sound judgment and a passion for candidate and client experience.

You as a Talent Acquisition Specialist will:

  • Own full-cycle recruitment from intake through offer, delivering timely, high-quality hires
  • Lead structured intake meetings with hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles and hiring timelines
  • Write compelling, inclusive job postings that attract the right talent
  • Screen and assess candidates from direct applications, referrals and Talent Advisor sourcing, using a consistent and fair interview approach
  • Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, talent mapping, networking and referrals
  • Conduct interviews and coach hiring managers on candidate profiles, interview practices and selection decisions
  • Manage offers, negotiate with confidence and close candidates
  • Develop creative attraction strategies, including job ads, industry associations, networking events and social media campaigns
  • Build trusted relationships with hiring managers, People & Culture Managers, candidates and fellow TA team members through credibility, integrity and clear communication
  • Keep candidate data, dispositions and reporting accurate in Workday, and use hiring metrics to improve speed and quality
  • Contribute to the development and rollout of strategic People & Culture and TA initiatives

Is this the right role for you?

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, Commerce or Business Administration, Social Services or a related field
  • 2 to 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a corporate, agency or RPO setting
  • Excellent candidate assessment skills and sound hiring judgment
  • Strong sourcing skills and confidence engaging passive candidates
  • Proven ability to manage multiple searches at once without losing pace or quality
  • A well-developed ability to build strong relationships and influence hiring managers
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills
  • A data-driven mindset and comfort using metrics to guide decisions
  • Experience with Workday or a comparable ATS, and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Knowledge of the construction services industry is an asset

The salary range for this position is $75000 to $80000
