Assistant Performance Superintendent

As anAssistant Performance Superintendentat BSM, you will be responsible for supporting the effective and efficient operation of the Fleet Performance Centre by monitoring vessel performance, improving energy efficiency, and optimizing operational performance across the fleet. You will play a key role in providing data-driven insights and decision support to fleet teams, helping to achieve operational excellence, enhance fuel efficiency, and support sustainability goals through continuous performance evaluation and improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimize the overall performance and energy efficiency of assigned vessels.

• Collaborate closely with fleet teams to ensure vessel performance KPIs and operational targets are achieved.

• Identify and promote fuel optimization opportunities to improve vessel efficiency and operational performance.

• Ensure adherence to established performance standards and contribute to their continuous enhancement and expansion.

• Conduct technical and performance investigations, supporting the resolution of operational issues through improved modelling, algorithm refinement, and data quality controls.

• Analyze vessel performance data and prepare performance evaluations and reports.

• Support energy efficiency improvement initiatives and enhancements to performance monitoring systems.

• Provide reliable performance data and insights to support effective operational decision-making.

• Assist in identifying training needs and preparing technical presentations and seminar materials.

• Liaise with vessels to improve reporting quality and ensure accurate and effective performance analysis.

• Support fleet performance optimization initiatives and undertake additional performance-related tasks as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• BS/MS or MEng in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.

• Sailing experience onboard as an Engineer.

• Preferably holding a Class 2 Certificate of Competency.
