As the Lead Content Designer for Storefronts & Growth, you define and deliver content strategy for public, customer-facing experiences that drive awareness, consideration, conversion, and trust. Sitting at the intersection of product marketing, content strategy, UX writing, growth, and brand voice and tone, this role calls for a content designer who blends growth, marketing, and experience thinking. You’ll bring experiences to life through content while balancing customer needs, brand expression, product goals, and business performance—setting strategic direction while doing hands-on content design and writing for Rocket’s most important storefront experiences.

Anchored in Rocket’s public digital experiences, this role shapes landing and entry experiences, product storytelling, launch messaging and market readiness, and early lifecycle conversion moments. You’ll define scalable narrative frameworks, influence product positioning, and help ensure Rocket shows up clearly, consistently, and compellingly across storefront and growth journeys.

Beyond Storefronts, this role partners closely with the horizontal enablement content team and adjacent areas to extend and adapt voice, tone, narrative, and performance approaches across Client, Pro, and Enterprise, helping shape cohesive experiences.

AI is core to how we design. You’ll bring openness, curiosity, and hands-on experience with AI-augmented ways of working, using AI throughout the content design process—from research synthesis and narrative exploration to prototyping, testing, and content systems—to move faster, explore more broadly, and raise the bar on quality. You’ll pair these tools with strong editorial judgment to ensure content remains accurate, differentiated, accessible, and distinctly Rocket.

About the role

Lead narrative performance at scale

  • Lead end-to-end content design for key initiatives, from discovery and narrative development through prototyping, launch, and optimization.
  • Define and scale high-performing content styles, messaging strategies, and narrative patterns across Storefronts and growth-oriented journeys.
  • Use research, testing, and performance insights to improve content effectiveness and codify what works through repeatable frameworks and standards.

Shape product positioning and market readiness

  • Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, SEO and Brand to shape value propositions, naming, framing, and storytelling for new and evolving experiences.
  • Translate product capabilities into clear, compelling, launch-ready narratives that connect campaign messaging with the customer’s early product experience.

Define voice, tone, and brand expression

  • Lead the application and evolution of Rocket’s voice and tone across storefront and growth experiences.
  • Ensure content reflects the Rocket brand, product truth, accessibility principles, and client psychology in ways that build confidence and motivate action.
  • Establish principles, examples, and best practices that drive consistency and help teams make stronger content decisions across high-visibility touchpoints.

Build enablement and cross-functional capability

  • Create playbooks, guidance, reusable tools, and AI-enabled workflows that help teams consistently apply high-performing content patterns.
  • Use and evaluate AI throughout the content design process to accelerate synthesis, exploration, prototyping, and testing while maintaining accuracy, brand integrity, privacy, and customer trust.
  • Partner with content designers across Rocket to extend effective approaches and create greater consistency across the organization.
  • Facilitate working sessions and mentor content designers to raise the quality and impact of content across Rocket.

About you

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in content design, UX writing, content strategy, or a related discipline.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strategic and hands-on content design across complex, customer-facing digital experiences.
  • Experience leading end-to-end content design from discovery and narrative development through prototyping, validation, implementation, and optimization.
  • Openness, curiosity, and hands-on experience using AI within the content design workflow, including tools such as Figma Make, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, accessibility, voice and tone, and writing for responsive web and mobile experiences.
  • Experience using research, analytics, experimentation, and customer feedback to improve content effectiveness.
  • Ability to translate complex customer, product, and business problems into clear, useful, and persuasive experiences.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, facilitation, and collaboration skills, including the ability to articulate content decisions and influence cross-functional partners.
  • Experience creating scalable content frameworks, standards, systems, or reusable patterns.
  • Experience mentoring content designers and raising the quality of work through critique and feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing content for marketing websites, landing pages, acquisition journeys, or other top-of-funnel experiences.
  • A track record of experimenting with, evaluating, and championing responsible AI-enabled content workflows within a team or organization.
