We are seeking a Senior AquaticEcologist Consultant to join ourEcology team, working out of our thriving Brisbane office.  

This role willbe responsible for a full range of activities including: 

• Leading multidisciplinary project teams toachieve successful project outcomes 

• Managing client relationships andmaintaining strong stakeholder partnerships 

• Providing strategic technical advice to clients,regulators and government agencies 

• Managing project scope, budgets,schedules and commercial performance while ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical environmental outcomes 

• Preparing high-quality technical reports, environmental impact assessments, monitoringreports and client proposals 

• Mentoring,supervising and developing junior staff members 

• Using strong analytical skills, including the interpretation of ecological and water quality datasets with software such as a Microsoft Excel, GISplatforms and statistical analysis tools 

Your Expertise and Skills 

These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here. 

• 5 –10 years of relevantexperience in an aquatic ecology role 

• Tertiary qualifications in aquatic ecology, ecology, environmental science, marinescience or a related discipline 

• Professional accreditation (e.g. AUSRIVAS, electrofishing, etc) highly regarded 

• Demonstratedexpertiseof aquatic ecology, freshwater ecosystems, hydrology, water quality, and aquatic biodiversity, with the ability to apply ecological principles to environmental assessment and management 

• Strongunderstanding of Commonwealth, State and local environmental legislation,policies and guidelines relevant to aquatic ecologywithin Queensland 

• A current Australian driver's licence and willingness to undertake fieldwork, including travel to remote locations 

• Ability to obtain or current coxswain licence highly regarded
