Our team and what we'll accomplish togetherJoin a highly collaborative pension administration team that manages complex, high-stakes benefit calculations for a major global pension plan account. You'll work in a supportive environment where autonomy and critical thinking are valued, and where managers actively mentor team members to master the nuances of defined benefit pension plans.
In this 12-month opportunity, you'll step into a key role that requires both technical precision and the ability to handle complex member scenarios while supporting junior team members. This is your chance to gain specialized expertise in a niche area of pension administration while working 100% remotely from anywhere in Canada.

What you'll do
Calculate and verify various pension benefits in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy in high-volume financial processing
Perform quality reviews of processing work and provide technical guidance to junior team members, helping them master the complexities of defined benefit pension plans
Analyze and interpret pension plan rules and applicable legislation to resolve complex member queries and ensure compliance
Collaborate with managers and the internal analyst team to handle complex, varied scenarios and maintain processing standards
Participate in the production and verification of annual statements, cyclical processes and support special projects that enhance team efficiency
Identify and recommend process improvements that strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and member satisfaction
What you bring
At least 3 years of experience in Defined Benefit pension plan administration
Intermediate to senior Excel proficiency with ability to perform manual computations and verify system calculations independently
Strong written communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to handle complex, varied scenarios with minimal oversight
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively while maintaining high accuracy standards in a regulated environment
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking, with a commitment to compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Collaborative mindset and willingness to support and mentor junior team members
Comfort working autonomously in a remote environment with strong self-direction and initiative
Great-to-haves
Bilingualism in French or Spanish
Experience with pension administration software or systems
Salary Range: $ 55,000 - $75,000Â
Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its international scope.
