BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an experienced Systems Engineer specializing in supporting our Strategic Missiles segment of the product line. This role will primarily support the supervision of 10 – 12 systems engineers that currently work within the THAAD Missile Seeker portfolio. The ideal candidate will be someone that is experienced in developing systems engineering skills for their team, along with assisting them in managing their career objectives and advancement. The candidate will also work with other subject matter experts in the Electro Optic and Infra-Red domain, assisting with the development of modeling and simulation toolsets that will mirror the actual performance of the THAAD system. In addition, selected candidate will be expected to learn and grow their technical knowledge of strategic missiles and the THAAD mission area. This role requires the candidate to be an outgoing, well-connected self-starter with a desire to grow the organization. Our engineers are members of cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams focused on developing cost-effective systems that meet the needs of our customers. Candidates should be comfortable working with teams of all sizes and enjoy a mix of creative design work, mentoring the next generation of protégés, developing White Papers, presenting internally and externally, and reviewing and endorsing systems engineering aspects of project proposals.
