Systems Engineer – Risk & Opportunity Management

PGS Worldwide is seeking aSystems Engineer – Risk & Opportunity Management in Grand Prairie, Texas for a one-year hybrid contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support program risk and opportunity management while working closely with program leadership, systems engineering, requirements, and architecture teams.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
• Experience managing programrisk and opportunity activities.
• 3+ years of experience withDOORS.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience withCameo.
• Familiarity with systems engineering design concepts, architecture, and technical tradeoffs.
• Experience maintaining technical or program-management databases and ensuring data accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively with program managers, chief engineers, and technical leads.
• Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability and willingness to work onsite in a classified laboratory environment as required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; clearance is not required to start.

What You’ll Do

• Own and maintain the program risk and opportunity management database.
• Coordinate with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, and program leads to ensure risks and opportunities remain current and accurately documented.
• Support identification, assessment, tracking, and mitigation of program risks.
• Support opportunity identification and associated program planning.
• Use DOORS and Cameo to support systems requirements, architecture, and program-management activities.
• Work with systems engineering teams to understand system-design decisions and technical tradeoffs.
• Prepare and maintain risk and opportunity data for program reviews and leadership discussions.
• Coordinate across technical and program organizations to ensure actions, status, and mitigation plans are properly tracked.
• Support systems engineering and program execution activities as assigned.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Hybrid position in Grand Prairie, Texas.
• 4/10 Flex schedule.
• Typically2 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
• Must be available to report onsite as program needs require.

Pay

• $78.80 per hour.
• Overtime eligible.
