This is asenior Linux/infrastructure engineering role supporting a classified mission environment. The primary focus isLinux engineering plus infrastructure operations, virtualization, security compliance, and automation.
The team operates ahybrid on-prem/cloud environment with multiple data centers, commercial/Government/custom applications, and a large data lake. The engineer will provideTier 2–4 support and participate in both day-to-day operations and larger engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

Engineer and supportLinux servers and workstations, particularly Debian.
ProvideTier 2–4 troubleshooting and incident resolution.
ManageVMware vCenter and NSX-T virtualization infrastructure.
SupportActive Directory, DNS, DFS, and DHCP.
Maintain systems according toDISA STIGs and security requirements.
Operate and maintain infrastructure acrossdata centers and AWS.
Monitor infrastructure performance/utilization and maintain accurate inventories.
Handle data-center tasks including hardware installation, cabling, commissioning, decommissioning, and property management.
Supportvirtual servers, virtual desktops, VMware Horizon VDI, and automation.
Coordinate engineering projects, technical risks, implementation conflicts, and schedules.
Create/present technical documentation to review and approval boards.
UseServiceNow for requirements and incident management.

Linux engineering
TS/SCI with Polygraph
VMware vCenter + NSX-T
Active Directory / DNS / DFS / DHCP
DISA STIGs
Infrastructure operations & maintenance
Splunk
Check_MK
McAfee ePO
BitLocker
ServiceNow
Tier 2–4 technical support
Engineering/project coordination

Rocky Linux
Ansible, scripting, andAI integration/automation
