Systems Administrator

4 Corner Resources is hiring a Systems Administrator for a 3-month remote contract, with possible extension. This role suits an experienced, multi-certified administrator who wants hands-on work across Windows, Linux, database, and network systems in an enterprise environment.

Systems Administrator Responsibilities:

• Run day-to-day administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise server systems that host packaged and custom applications
• Monitor server health by reviewing application logs and system consoles
• Research warnings, errors, and reported issues to find the root cause, then build action plans and document, test, and implement fixes
• Respond to requests and incidents in an assigned problem management queue
• Implement new server systems following documented plans and change control processes
• Support and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL environments
• Coordinate support and repair work with vendors and other technical staff
• Mentor and train technicians and share knowledge across the team
• Create new process documentation and keep existing documentation current
• Plan and design project implementations based on requirements, best practices, and vendor recommendations
• Provide project status updates at least every two weeks

Systems Administrator Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
• CompTIA Network+
• Nutanix Certified Professional – Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
• 3+ years of IT experience supporting multiple enterprise-class systems and environments
• 3-5 years of experience maintaining routers, switches, or wireless devices
• Experience deploying and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server, preferably versions 2016 through 2022
• Experience deploying and maintaining Linux, preferably RHEL 8
• Experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams and departments

Systems Administrator Details:

• Location: Remote (must reside in the U.S.; Florida-based candidates preferred)
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern
• Availability: Must be available for video interviews November 9-10, 2026, and able to start within 2 weeks of selection
• Pay Rate: starting at $40 hourly (negotiable based on experience)
• Duration: 3-month contract with possible extension
• Additional: Candidates may complete a skills assessment. A Level 2 background check with fingerprinting and E-Verify are required.
