Location:Santa Clara, CA Onsite, 5 days per week
Contract– 12 Months (with potential for extension)
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain infrastructure, including servers, network devices, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Monitor system performance and reliability, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and patch management activities, adhering to best practices and minimizing disruptions to business operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, providing technical expertise and guidance for projects.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and policies, to ensure effective knowledge transfer and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end users, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure productivity and user satisfaction.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system emergencies outside of regular business hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role in a high-tech environment.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows operating systems, as well as experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong understanding of system hardware and remote management via IPMItool, iLO, iDRAC, etc.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Familiarity with network protocols, security principles, and the ITIL framework.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional).
