Senior Software Engineer (Python/GCP)

The Opportunity  

We are currently on the lookoutfor Senior Software Engineers (Python/Google Cloud Platform) to join our team.The right candidate willberesponsible for designing, developing, andmaintaining scalable and efficient cloud-based applicationsin Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Python. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. 

Responsibilities: 

• Designing, developing, andmaintaining cloud-based applications using Python and Google Cloud Platform 

• Designing, developing, andmaintaining RESTful APIs using Python and Google Cloud Platforms 

• Implementing and managing GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage,BigQuery, and Cloud Functions 

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features 

• Writingandcleaning maintainableand efficient code 

• Troubleshooting and debugging applications to ensureoptimal performance 

• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback 

• Stayingup-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies 

Requirements: 

• ABachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 

• Proven experience as a Python Developer and Cloud Developer 

• Strong knowledge of Python programming language and frameworks such as Flask or Django 

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes 

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) 

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

• Full-stack experience with web-based technologies and architectures such as HTTP, Browser engines,Js engines, RESTful APIs, microservices in java/node, HTML5 JavaScript/ES6, Node.js, React will be an added advantage 

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills 

• Experience with API development and integration 

• Experience with Google Cloud Platforms using Python 

• Experience in Google Cloud Platform and Google Servicesincluding:GoogleBigQuery,Cloud Run Function,Cloud Composer,Pub Sub,Secret Manager,GCS Bucket,Dataplex andData Lineage API 

• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines 

• Experience with data analysis and data management 

• Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience as Python Developer and GCP Developer 

• Experience with Google Cloud Platforms using Python
