Summary of Job Duties:

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Accreditation Coordinator supports the accreditation efforts of the UAMS COM GME office. The GME Accreditation Coordinator is a member of the COM GME Office’s leadership team and as such has unique knowledge of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), Institutional and program-specific requirements, policies and procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in health, business, or related field,or
  • High School diploma/GED plus four (4) years of project coordination or administrative support experience required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accreditation Coordination:Support Graduate Medical Education (GME) accreditation activities and ensure programs remain aligned with ACGME and institutional requirements.

  • ACGME Data & Reporting: Utilize the ACGME Accreditation Data System to review data, generate reports, verify program information, and assist with annual institutional and program reporting requirements.

  • Committee & Meeting Coordination:Coordinate Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC) and subcommittee activities, including calendars, meeting invitations, attendance, document preparation, meeting minutes, reminders, and follow-up requirements.

  • Program Reviews & Site Visits:Support internal program reviews, special reviews, institutional and program site visits, Annual Program Evaluations, and annual ACGME updates.

  • Compliance Monitoring:Track and monitor compliance related to evaluations, Program Letters of Agreement, ACGME surveys, moonlighting, clinical activities, milestones, program changes, resident/fellow complement, participating sites, and other accreditation requirements.

  • Process Management:Manage accreditation-related forms and workflows and collaborate with GME staff to develop and improve processes using systems such as SharePoint, New Innovations, and other institutional resources.

  • Accreditation Documentation: Assist with tracking and responding to ACGME Letters of Notification, citations, surveys, and other accreditation documentation while ensuring institutional deadlines and requirements are met.

  • Non-Standard Training Programs:Support programs seeking ACGME Non-Standard Training recognition, including application processes, accreditation requirements, and preparation for institutional site visits.

  • Policies & Procedures: Assist with developing, maintaining, implementing, and communicating GME policies and procedures and support programs through transitions to new accreditation requirements or processes.

  • Program Support & Consultation:Serve as a resource and point of contact for program directors, coordinators, residents, fellows, and other stakeholders regarding GME accreditation, policies, processes, and requirements.

  • Special Projects & Events:Support GME special projects, annual orientation, communications, program tracking, and other institutional initiatives that support the continued growth of Graduate Medical Education.

  • Collaboration & Customer Service: Work collaboratively with the GME team, program leadership, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality support, resolve issues, and promote effective GME operations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
