Paper Machine Shift Supervisor - Counce Mill

General Summary:    Supervise the operating personnel in the Paper Machine, Refining, Recycle and Shipping areas and to monitor the operations in these areas.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years in the pulp and paper industry or manufacturing related industry, demonstrated ability to be a supervisor and leader. 
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior paper mill experience.

• Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills.
• Learn and understand the capabilities of supervised employees utilizing them and developing their abilities as necessary.
• Learn and understand the Union Labor Agreement and administer it fairly and consistently.
• Maintain complete, legible, and readily accessible documentation of work

• Communicate the department status, process problems and safety concerns to the Area Managers, Operations Manager and primary Manufacturing/Technical Services/Engineering and others as necessary.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
