As Production Supervisor Shipping/Receiving I, you will be responsible for leading all warehouse receiving, shipping, and transfer operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and finished goods. This position drives operational excellence through process standardization, continuous improvement initiatives, team development,.
Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, this position is based in Shreveport, LA*.

Duties & Responsibilities
People
- Provide a continuous learning environment for all employees under your direction.
- In conjunction with Human Resources, develop and implement an effective performance management, training, and employee development processes.
- Ensure and implement a succession plan that targets key employees within areas responsibility assigned.
Safety
- Monitor PPE Adherence and 5S of all docks.
- Monitor safety equipment with emphasis on powered industrial truck use.
- Build a safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety policies related to dock operations.
- Ensure all team members are properly trained and certified on material handling equipment.
- Escalate issues to responsible parties.
Quality
- Ensures timely system transactions of inbound and outbound transactions and identification of any discrepancies communicated to appropriate teams.
- Process audits of inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Ensure customer specific shipping requirements, labeling, documentation, and routing met.
- Continuously improve initiatives to eliminate waste, reduce handling and improve productivity of dock operations.
Delivery
- Directly manage receiving, shipping and material transfer teams.
- Prioritizes inbound and outbound transactions with Purchasing, Planning, and Customer Service.
- Ensure inter-warehouse material transfers are transacted timely and accurately.
- Implement and utilize measure controls for manpower requirements, machine and process capacities, schedule attainment, quality, and safety.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with equivalent job experience.
- 3-5 years’ experience supervising or leading employees in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or related field.
Skills & Abilities:
- Must possess high communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage employees and help the team achieve its goals
- Must have intermediate knowledge of computers
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must have knowledge and ability to operate power industrial trucks related to warehouse operations
- The ability to plan, prioritize, schedule, and delegate receiving and shipping activities.
- The ability to accurately use measurement tools.
- Ability to multi-task under pressure.

Working Conditions:
- Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time
