Schedule & Shift Details Total Commitment:
Part-Time, 8 Hours per Week
Mondays (AM) & Wednesdays (PM) Exact Schedule: Mondays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM Wednesdays: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Position Summary & Key Responsibilities :
- This role provides high-level clinical documentation and order entry support shared between two primary hematology physicians.
- Candidates act as a direct workflow partner, ensuring charting accuracy and clinic efficiency during an active Epic transition.
- Real-Time Documentation: Accompany physicians into patient encounters to capture live clinical charting and dictations accurately.
- Order Entry Support: Transcribe and enter laboratory, imaging, medication, and clinical orders directly into the Epic EHR exactly as directed by providers.
- Workflow Optimization: Assist with maintaining charting standards, SmartPhrases, and clinic efficiency during the department's Epic transition phase.
- Information Coordination: Track and manage patient communication needs to ensure compliant, accurate, and timely chart completion.
- Prior medical scribe experience is required (0–2 years for Tier 1; 3+ years for Tier 2). Background in oncology, hematology, or a complex outpatient specialty is preferred.
- Systems: Functional, proficient knowledge of Epic EHR workflows is highly preferred to eliminate onboarding friction.
- Certifications: Professional scribe credentials (CMSS, AMSS, CMSA) or Medical Assistant certifications (CCMA, CMA) are highly preferred and a must have for elite level submissions.
