Position: Supply Chain Process Engineer
Location: San Antonio, TX 78221
Duration: 12 months
Shift: 5:30am - 4:00pm Mon-Thurs
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing supply chain infrastructure, material flow processes, and operational systems that support manufacturing operations and strategic growth initiatives. This role will play a key role in the development and launch of a new external warehouse, including facility layout design, material flow development, equipment selection, process implementation, and overall project execution.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in warehouse and manufacturing environments, CAD-based design, material handling systems, facility layouts, and project management. This position requires a highly motivated engineer capable of managing complex projects from concept through implementation while coordinating vendors, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of Supply Chain Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or Process Engineering experience.
- Proven experience designing and implementing warehouse layouts, material flow systems, and operational processes.
- Extensive project management experience including vendor coordination, request for quotations (RFQs), capital equipment procurement, budgeting, and project execution.
- Advanced proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, Revit, or similar design platforms.
- Experience creating engineering layouts, facility designs, process flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading new warehouse startup, expansion, or relocation projects.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory management processes.
- Experience with material handling equipment, storage systems, automation technologies, and warehouse design principles.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Automotive, commercial vehicle, heavy equipment, or high-volume manufacturing experience.
