Job Description
BAE Systems, is hiring a Supply Chain Manager II for our GOCO (government owned contractor operated) facility located in Radford, VA. The Planner will support the Planning and Scheduling team in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The Planner will be well-organized and detail-oriented to support customer demands.- Location: Hybrid role located in Radford, VA.
- Travel: Up to 10% travel is required
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule
- Track and update inventory spreadsheets to assist issuing purchase requests.
- Support purchase order placement to ensure proper timing of the raw and essential material deliveries needed to meet scheduled production efforts
- Communicate with plant Utilities to time deliveries of needed supplies
- Track inventories and update inventory spreadsheet to assist in raw and essential material delivery planning
- Track in-coming material shipments by rail via railcar information website and enter into our tracking database
- Update Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system inventory database (i.e. FourthShift)
- Run ERP system reports weekly to confirm proper movement of materials
- Conduct monthly warehouse inventories and resolve discrepancies
- Assist area Inventory Specialists to conduct required building cycle-counts and document as needed
- Backup and support the production area Inventory Specialists with ERP system entries and issues if needed
- Train to back-up the Shipping Coordinator in the preparation of document packages including bill of lading (commercial or government) and associated shipping documents
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience in Supply Chain, Planning, or similar
- Ability to monitor data and run reports
- Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve objectives
- Dependable, meticulous, and detail-oriented
- Experienced in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills and Education
- Hazardous Material Certification
- Experience in Defense Contracting
- Experience in FourthShift ERP system
