Supplier Manufacturing Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking aSupplier Manufacturing Engineer in El Segundo, California for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support tooling suppliers by managing fabrication activities, supplier performance, nonconformances, quality requirements, and technical documentation.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge ofGeometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience reviewing and developing technical documentation.
• 3D CAD experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work directly with suppliers, engineering, procurement, quality, and program teams.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Skills

• Advanced degree in Engineering.
• Composites manufacturing experience.
• Supplier audit or supplier assessment experience.
• Root-cause analysis training or experience.
• Lean Manufacturing experience or certification.

What You’ll Do

• Manage fabrication activities with external tooling suppliers.
• Develop and maintain supplier statements of work and technical requirements.
• Monitor supplier quality, performance, and compliance with manufacturing requirements.
• Evaluate supplier nonconformances, performance issues, and failures.
• Support root-cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
• Manage supplier waiver, deviation, and discrepancy processes.
• Coordinate source inspections and supplier quality activities.
• Review manufacturing Certificates of Conformance and end-item data packages before shipment.
• Support evaluation and maintenance of approved tooling suppliers.

Pay

• $39.94 per hour.
