SUMMARY:Â The Production Supervisor is responsible for the effectiveness, efficiency, and integrity of the day-to-day operations of the MRO site. The person will be a hands-on leader providing direction, coaching, and management to the team. The position is both strategic and detail-oriented, with proven operations, supply chain, and technical experience in an aerospace MRO environment.Â

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Â Â Â
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Â

Monitor and manage timeclock and attendance exceptions. Â

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for process improvements.Â
-
Actively participate in future growth plans for their team. Â
-
Hold their team accountable for their production levels and organizational expectations. Â
-
Oversee daily operations in the machine shop to ensure efficiency and quality.Â
-
Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of machinery.Â
-
Troubleshoot machinery and production issues promptly.Â
-
Developing and testing effective automated and manual systems.Â
-
Provide all new and/or reoccurring training and technical support to machinists. Â
-
Monitor and assist production flow of components.Â
-
Communicate with other team leads daily on support opportunities. Â

Attend training courses as required. Â
-
Be involved with new capabilities within department.Â
-
Utilize specialty and hand tools daily. Â
-
Read and interpret technical data and drawings. Â
-
Verify that all components are tested to the appropriate specifications to ensure airworthiness. Â
-
Document maintenance records of all repair work orders performed.Â
-
Strong Verbal and written communications skills.Â
-
Planning and organization skills necessary to plan, prioritize and coordinate workload of assigned employees within a multiple project setting.Â

Computer skills necessary to learn and / or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, project, email, and web-based application.Â

Engineering technical support for cross-functional teams.Â

Engineering responsibilities as assigned/required. Â

Other duties as assigned.Â
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Â Â Â
-
Bachelor’s degreeÂ
-
6 years of relevant/technical work experience and 3+ years of leadership experienceÂ
-
OR an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.Â
-
Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required.
-
High mechanical aptitude required. Â
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and scheduling applications.Â
-
Flexibility to changing workloads/priorities based on customer requirements.Â
-
Ability to function in fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of quality.  Â
-
Attention to small details as well as strong math skills.Â
-
Effective verbal and written communication skills.Â
Â
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Â
-
8+ years of operational work experience.Â
-
6+ years in the aviation industry.Â
