We are seeking an experiencedAutomotive Technical Brakes/Chassis Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the development, validation, and review of automotive service training programs. The ideal candidate will have strong dealership-level diagnostic and repair experience with braking, suspension, steering, mechanical, and electrical systems, along with technical writing and training content development experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for braking and chassis training course development.
- Review, validate, and verify technical content and service procedures.
- Support development of web-based, instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training materials.
- Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and content validation.
- Translate complex technical information into clear instructional materials.
- Collaborate with curriculum developers, engineers, and project stakeholders.
- Utilize OEM diagnostic tools, scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
- 5+ years of automotive technician experience.
- Extensive experience with brake, suspension, steering, and chassis systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- Experience using OEM scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Technical writing and documentation experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- ASE A4 (Suspension & Steering) Certification.
- ASE A5 (Brakes) Certification.
- ASE Master Technician Certification.
- Technical training or curriculum development experience.
- GM dealership technician experience.
- Experience delivering instructor-led training (ILT), VILT, or eLearning content.
