The Structural Engineeris responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
- Design the structural components of residential wood structures (and masonry structures in FL).
- Produce repair details and letters.
- Seal structural plans, details, and repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with architectural staff and other client departments (i.e. TIS, Purchasing, Operations, etc.).
- Perform engineering calculations.
- Coordinate structural plans with truss layouts.
- Conduct site visits and meet with building officials.
- Conduct code research.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering.
- PE License preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of residential wood, concrete, and CMU design and construction.
- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, applicable building codes, and design principles.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow established procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
