Your day at NTT DATA

The storage engineer, specialist or architect supports enterprise storage, data-protection and related infrastructure services. The role ensures that platforms remain available, resilient, secure and capable of meeting workload performance and capacity requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor capacity, availability, utilisation and performance.
• Resolve incidents affecting storage access, replication, performance and data protection.
• Provision and configure storage according to approved standards.
• Perform platform maintenance, patching, upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Support SAN, NAS, block, file and object-storage services.
• Maintain replication, backup and disaster-recovery capabilities.
• Analyse performance bottlenecks and capacity trends.
• Work with server, virtualisation, network, database and cloud teams.
• Maintain configuration records, diagrams and recovery procedures.
• Automate provisioning, monitoring and reporting where appropriate.
• At L4, lead resolution of complex storage and data-recovery incidents.
• At L5, define storage architecture, data-placement strategies and technology roadmaps.
