Job Description

Under the direction of the operations manager, manages and directs stockroom operations. Assists in establishing financial goals to maximize sales, profit, SSR, productivity, turns and inventory.

Job Qualifications

Two years of supervisory or specialized retail experience within last five years.

Or

Successful completion of Exchange Retail Management Training (RMT) or Retail Management Academy (RMA) training programs.

UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE OPERATIONS MANAGER, MANAGES AND DIRECTS STOCKROOM OPERATIONS. ASSISTS IN ESTABLISHING FINANCIAL GOALS TO MAXIMIZE SALES, PROFIT, SSR, PRODUCTIVITY, TURNS AND INVENTORY. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS MANAGES AND DIRECTS STOCKROOM OPERATIONS. DEALING WITH SHIPPING, RECEIVING, STOCKING, RETURN/WRITE-OFF/DISPOSAL OF DAMAGED/DEFECTIVE GOODS, TRANSFER OF GOODS TO OTHER FACILITIES, HOUSEKEEPING DUTIES, MAINTAINING OPERATIONAL VEHICLES AND ORDERING EXPENSES SUPPLIES. MANAGES FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL GOALS. EVALUATES AND ENHANCES CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. SUPERVISES, TRAINS, DEVELOPS, HIRES AND SCHEDULES ASSOCIATES FOR CURRENT POSITIONS AND FUTURE GROWTH. ASSISTS IN ESTABLISHING FINANCIAL GOALS TO MAXIMIZE SALES, PROFIT, SSR, PRODUCTIVITY, ETC,
Technical (Preferred/Required Skills/Systems):
  • FORKLIFT LICENSE - Preferred
  • Work Schedule – Onsite (JBLE Langley Main Store, VA)
  • PCS Not Authorized/LSP Not Authorized

Major Duties

Manages and directs stockroom operations. Dealing with shipping, receiving, stocking, return/write-off/disposal of damaged/defective goods, transfer of goods to other facilities, housekeeping duties, maintaining operational vehicles and ordering expenses supplies. Manages financial and operational goals.
Evaluates and enhances customer service and customer satisfaction.
Supervises, trains, develops, hires and schedules associates for current positions and future growth.
Assists in establishing financial goals to maximize sales, profit, SSR, productivity, turns and inventory.
Performs other duties as assigned.
