Staff Engineer - Data Analytics

About the Role

As a Staff Engineer in Data Analytics at Thredd, you will lead the design and delivery of analytics engineering capabilities building the transformation layers, semantic models, and Gold layer data products that power Thredd's BI and self-serve analytics.

Required Skills & Experience

● 10+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI engineering

● Expert-level DBT — modelling, testing, documentation, and deployment at scale

● Deep experience with Redshift — Gold/consumption layer design and optimisation

● Strong SQL skills and data modelling expertise — dimensional modelling, slowly changing dimensions

● Experience with BI tooling: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent

● Familiarity with data quality frameworks within analytics pipelines

● Understanding of PCI DSS data handling in analytics contexts

● Ability to set technical standards and mentor others
