This role works with our Inductive Automation Ignition Center of Excellence to develop SCADA solutions, strengthen manufacturing technology capability, and support reliable enterprise deployments across Client’s global operations.
The Senior Software Engineer role requires strong collaboration, technical understanding of digital manufacturing tools, and the ability to influence stakeholders across global teams. Travel is required to drive work sessions, conduct assessments, support deployments, and train local teams.

A Day in the Life
Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements software, scripts and projects primarily in Ignition, Postgresql and Python.

Determines systems software design requirements.
Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.
May work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program needs.
Work with cross functional teams to drive results across multiple aspects of the software development cycle.
Works within a Quality System regulated environment across multiple aspects of the software development cycle.

Must Haves
7+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience with an Advanced degree
Nice to Have
Experience in Manufacturing, Operations, and/or Regulated Environments.
Experience supporting global or multi-site teams.
Significant experience configuring and programming SCADA platforms like Ignition.
Trained and Hands-on experience with Data platforms, BI tools, or Analytics ecosystems (PowerBI, Tableau, Ignition SCADA, among others)
Trained and Hands-on experience on Scrum and Agile methodologies, and Software Product Ownership. (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM).
Trained or Hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming PLC controls (AB-Rockwell, Siemens, others).
Trained or Hands-on experience with Linux and containerization technologies like Docker or Podman. SQL and noSQL databases.

Determines systems software design requirements. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures. May work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program needs. TECHNICAL SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: An individual contributor with responsibility in our technical functions to advance existing technology or introduce new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering R&D, systems or initiatives related to new technologies or therapies – from design to implementation - while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills.
