Sr. Software Engineer

Position Type

Contract, Hybrid – 3 days in office & 2 days WFH. Candidates must live within two hours of the client location at the time of submission.

Required

• Experience in financial services and/or the automotive industry relevant to the role.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5-10 years of IT experience.
• 3-5 years of application development in a Microsoft environment.
• Strong knowledge of common concepts, architectures, and processes in software development.
• Proficient in IT technologies such as Java, .Net, C#, Web, databases, Siebel, or SAP.
• Fully proficient in core technologies: C#, ASP, ASP.net, JavaScript, Angular JS, T-SQL.
• Familiarity with financial services lease and loan applications.
• Experience in a multi-location, international environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss complex topics with management at all levels.
• Completion of Financial Services Required Learning Courses: UDAAP, The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.

Preferred

• 1-2 years of experience in the Financial Services industry.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and perform technical analysis of new and existing systems.
• Develop design documentation and estimate work effort.
• Support, guide, and lead associates in understanding legacy systems.
• Execute coding, configuration, code reviews, and unit testing.
• Plan and execute system, integration, and user acceptance tests.
• Manage and resolve defects.
• Steer providers in tier 2 support tasks and resolve escalated support topics.
• Enhance operations and development tools, and plan upgrades and replacements.
• Execute ITSM/ITIL processes for stable operations and SLA alignment.
• Build understanding of assigned business processes and own the functional solution.
• Collaborate with Business to elicit requirements, define acceptance criteria, and maintain a product backlog.
• Create user stories and test deliverables against acceptance criteria.
• Lead Agile team in adopting Agile processes and facilitate key Agile events.
• Collaborate with Product Owner to manage the Product backlog.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities and mentor team members.
• Coordinate release planning and off-cycle efforts.
• Resolve or escalate risks and issues, and execute resource planning and time tracking processes.
