Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Production Supportfor a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Rutherford, NJ.

Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of application production support experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting experience supporting Java/Spring Boot microservices.
  • Experience supporting Angular and/or React applications.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs and distributed systems architecture.
  • Experience with:
  • Oracle
  • PostgreSQL
  • MongoDB
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, or ECS containers.
  • Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills.
  • Experience using Grafana and enterprise monitoring platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong ownership and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively during high-pressure production incidents.
  • Strong collaboration across development, infrastructure, and business teams.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
Preferred Skills:
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of Kafka, event-driven architectures, and API management.
  • Experience with application performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience supporting financial services or large enterprise environments.
