Job Title: Sr. Product Planner
Location: East Granby South, CT
Duration: 6 Months Temp to Permanent
Pay Range: $35/Hr - $45/Hr
Core Responsibilities:
- Utilizes ERP to develop and communicate production schedule by ensuring schedule is accurately reflected in the ERP system and the cell communication boards.
- Assures internal and external customer requirements are met in accordance with the Production Schedule.
- Track progress of jobs from launch through completion and support operations with expediting as required.
- Assist production supervision with level loading work center schedules, maintaining throughput objectives and balancing the line.
- Maintain Line-of-Balance tracking for critical programs.
- Track performance to monthly forecast including risks and opportunities.
- Liaison between operations and customer service, ensuring customer service has accurate delivery dates and timely notification of delays.
- Analyze component consumption rates and maintain system parameters & safety stock accordingly.
- Works closely with Purchasing to ensure vendors delivery date is aligned with the needs of the business.
- Ensures incoming orders, shipments, material transactions and other logistics activities are performed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5 plus years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Aerospace industry.
- ERP / MRP Experience required, Syteline 9 experience preferred.
- Strong Computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
- Experience with Power BI a plus.
- Ability to prioritize workload as conflicts arise and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Balance customer needs while protecting the interests of the company.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort working in a constantly changing environment.
- Adaptability & flexibility are critical in this role.
- Candidate must be able to work well in both a team environment and across various departmental functions within the company.
