What to Expect
Tesla's Industrial Products team is looking for a Senior Product Launch Manager to own go-to-market execution for Industrial products like the Megapack and its associated products and services. You will drive launches of new hardware, software features, and service offerings from engineering readiness through first-customer operationalization and post-launch success.Â
This is a cross-functional role. You will coordinate across engineering, sales, sales engineering, service, compliance, finance, and content. You will not own the product roadmap. You will own making each launch sellable, contractable, and deliverable on the date we commit. Success is a product that Sales can quote, Legal can contract, Service can commission, and the first customer can operate — without a scramble.Â
What You’ll Do
- Define and execute go-to-market plans for new Industrial hardware, software features, and service offeringsÂ
- Own the launch operating system: one tracker per launch, named gates, named owners, and weekly risk reviews through commercial cut-inÂ
- Surface requirements, dependencies, and blockers across hardware, software, services, compliance, finance, sales operations, technical publications, and content — and drive action to datesÂ
- Make products sellable on day one: sales tools, contract and warranty language, partner documentation, and sales trainingÂ
- Drive first-customer and first-country operationalization with Sales, Sales Engineering, and ServiceÂ
- Hold the organization accountable through commercial cut-in gates: quoteable, contractable, commissionableÂ
- Feed field and customer launch issues back to product owners until the original success metric is metÂ
- Report launch status to Product leadership with clear risks, owners, and recovery plansÂ
- Improve the launch process so each subsequent hardware, software, and service cutover is faster and cleanerÂ
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experienceÂ
- 5–7+ years launching hardware products and software features in energy, infrastructure, or industrial B2BÂ
- Direct experience making cross-functional change happen in a global organizationÂ
- Comfort interfacing with external customers, EPCs, developers, and senior internal leadersÂ
- Working knowledge of utility-scale energy storage, grid interconnection, or related power systemsÂ
- Proven ability to drive sales-tool, contract, and documentation cut-in as part of launch — not afterÂ
- Exceptional written and verbal communication. Can hold a room of engineers and a room of salesÂ
- Relentless drive to close gaps. Does not accept almost readyÂ
- Ability to run multiple launches in parallel and pivot without dropping the critical pathÂ
