PURPOSE STATEMENT:
The Senior Principal Program Manager Ā is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional programs that support organizational objectives. This role oversees a collection of related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, management of program risks and dependencies, achievement of business outcomes, and effective stakeholder engagement. The Senior Principal Program Manager may also contribute directly to project management activities as needed to support program success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Program Leadership
Ā· Program Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans that define objectives, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple projects.
Ā· Strategic Alignment: Ensure program activities remain aligned with Acadia Healthcare's strategic priorities, business objectives, and expected outcomes.
Ā· Benefits Realization Management: Define, track, measure, and report on expected business benefits, value drivers, and key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with program objectives. Partner with business stakeholders to validate achievement of program outcomes and identify opportunities for optimization following implementation. Develop and maintain benefit realization plans and provide ongoing reporting to executive stakeholders regarding value attainment.
Ā· Dependency Management: Identify, document, and manage interdependencies across projects, business functions, vendors, and technology initiatives to minimize delivery risks and ensure successful program execution.
Program Oversight
Ā· Risk Management: Identify program-level risks and develop mitigation strategies to support successful program delivery.
Ā· Issue Management: Proactively address and resolve program challenges and escalations that may impact timelines, budgets, scope, or desired outcomes.
Ā· Quality Assurance: Ensure projects within the program adhere to organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
Ā· Budget Management: Monitor program budgets, forecasts, expenditures, and financial performance to ensure efficient use of resources and achievement of financial objectives.
Ā· Schedule and Milestone Management: Monitor program progress and project milestones to ensure alignment with overall program objectives and timelines.
Ā· Vendor & Partner Coordination: Coordinate activities, deliverables, timelines, and dependencies across third-party vendors, implementation partners, consultants, and internal teams. Monitor vendor performance and contractual commitments to ensure alignment with program objectives, schedules, quality expectations, and budget constraints. Facilitate issue resolution and escalation management between vendors, stakeholders, and project teams.

Stakeholder Engagement
Ā· Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with executive sponsors, business leaders, project teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Ā· Executive Reporting: Prepare and deliver program status updates, dashboards, presentations, and recommendations to leadership.
Ā· Executive Steering Committee Support: Coordinate executive steering committee activities including agenda development, status reporting, decision tracking, action item management, and follow-up communications.
Ā· Relationship Management: Build strong partnerships across departments to promote collaboration and support successful program execution.
Ā· Escalation Management: Facilitate resolution of issues requiring stakeholder alignment or executive decision-making.

Program Management Support

  • Project Execution Support: Provide guidance and support to project managers and project teams as necessary to address program-related challenges and risks.
Ā· Program Coordination: Coordinate activities across multiple projects to ensure alignment with program objectives and successful delivery of expected outcomes.
Ā· Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of program activities including roadmaps, status reports, financials, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, action items, and lessons learned.
Ā· Compliance: Ensure program activities comply with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Ā· Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
Ā· Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in project and program management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Healthcare industry experience is highly desirable.
Ā· Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification is preferred.
Ā· Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
Ā· Strategic planning and organizational skills.
Ā· Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Ā· Proficiency in project and business financials.
Ā· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ā· Ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously.

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
