Sr Network Administrator

Active TS/SCI clearance required. Existing CI polygraph strongly preferred.

At Antero Technology Services, we're looking for a Senior Network Administrator who wants to take ownership of meaningful technical work in secure enterprise network environments as part of our team.

In this hands-on senior role, you'll do more than maintain existing infrastructure. You'll combine network operations with engineering, design, advanced troubleshooting, security, and modernization. You'll have opportunities to solve complex network problems, contribute to improvements, and share your experience and ideas with the rest of your team.

What You'll Do

• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and secure remote-access solutions.

• Design and build network environments, contributing to network topology, architecture, segmentation, configuration, and implementation.

• Support enterprise routing and switching across Cisco and Juniper environments, including dynamic routing, Layer 2 switching, VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, spanning-tree technologies, and link aggregation.

• Configure and support network security capabilities, including access controls, firewalls, VPNs, security hardening, and DoD/DISA security baselines.

• Diagnose complex network problems, perform root-cause analysis, and help improve network availability, reliability, performance, and security.

• Contribute to network analysis, capacity planning, modernization, and evaluation of network upgrades and emerging technologies.

• Share your experience with the team, providing technical guidance and mentorship to other personnel as appropriate.

What You Need

• Active TS/SCI clearance.

• CCNA certification.

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+.

• Ability to work 100% onsite in the Laurel, Maryland area on day shift.

What We're Looking For

You'll be a strong fit if you bring substantial experience with enterprise routing and switching, including hands-on Cisco networking and technologies such as OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLANs, 802.1Q trunking, inter-VLAN routing, spanning-tree protocols, and EtherChannel/LACP.

We're also looking for experience supporting firewalls, VPNs, secure remote access, and enterprise network security. You should be comfortable contributing to network architecture and design, independently troubleshooting complex network problems, and working with DoD/DISA STIGs in secure network environments.

We value someone who can work independently with minimal supervision, take responsibility for challenging technical work, and contribute their expertise to the team.

Especially Valuable

• Existing CI polygraph is strongly preferred. Qualified candidates with an active TS/SCI who require CI-poly processing may still be considered.

• Experience with Juniper EX/QFX switching.

• Experience with Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, or Juniper SRX firewalls.

• Deeper experience implementing DoD/DISA STIGs and network security hardening.

• Network modeling, analysis, or capacity-planning experience.

• Experience supporting network modernization or evaluating emerging network technologies.

• Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other network or support personnel.
