Title: Sr Mechanical Engineer
Location: Charlestown, MA
Duration: 12month contract

Responsibilities:

Design, analyze, prototype, and test mechanical systems and hardware.
Translate product requirements into practical technical solutions.
Lead development of mechanical systems/subsystems through integration and production.
Collaborate with industrial design, electrical, firmware, software, and mechanical engineering teams.
Work with suppliers to develop manufacturable, cost-effective components and assemblies.
Develop and execute testing to validate performance, reliability, and quality.
Participate in design reviews and proactively identify and communicate technical risks.

Requirements:

BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Strong experience designing systems integrating mechanical and electrical components.
Advanced SOLIDWORKS skills or similar CAD tools such as NX or CATIA, including complex assemblies and detailed drawings.
Experience with manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, and casting.
Experience taking products from design/prototype through mass production.
Strong hands-on prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with GD&T, FEA, MATLAB, MathCAD, and data acquisition/testing tools.
Strong systems thinking, tradeoff analysis, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
