Senior Infrastructure & Network Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Network Engineer to help design, support, and optimize enterprise technology platforms across a complex, highly available environment. This individual will play a key role in maintaining core infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of mission-critical systems.

This is a hands-on engineering position for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, automating operational processes, and partnering with infrastructure, security, and application teams to continuously improve enterprise services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network and infrastructure solutions.
• Maintain highly available environments across networking, compute, storage, virtualization, and supporting platforms.
• Monitor infrastructure health, analyze performance trends, and recommend capacity improvements.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Develop and enhance automation for infrastructure deployment, configuration management, and operational workflows.
• Improve infrastructure-as-code practices and standardize deployment methodologies.
• Support enterprise monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability platforms.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to strengthen infrastructure security and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Optimize infrastructure utilization while balancing performance and cost.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operational procedures, and engineering standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation supporting critical production environments.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, cloud engineers, and operations teams on infrastructure initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure, networking, or platform engineering.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals, systems administration, and infrastructure operations.
• Experience supporting highly available production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across multiple technology domains.
• Experience with scripting, automation, or infrastructure management tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience with several of the following technologies is highly desirable:

• Enterprise routing and switching
• Virtualization platforms
• Windows and/or Linux server administration
• Storage infrastructure
• Monitoring and observability platforms
• Infrastructure automation and configuration management
• Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies
• Cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• ITIL-based operational practices

Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, VMware VCP, Network+, or similar are considered a plus.
