Our client, an established and growing organization in the Fort Worth area, is seeking an experienced Sr. Human Resources Generalist to support a diverse employee population and partner closely with business leaders across the organization. This is a hands-on HR role with a strong emphasis on employee relations, performance management, manager coaching, policy interpretation, compliance, and employee lifecycle support. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating sensitive employee matters, providing practical guidance to leaders, and operating with a high degree of independence and sound judgment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive professional Human Resources experience, with meaningful experience handling employee relations matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting employees and managers in a distribution, manufacturing, electronics, industrial, or similarly operational environment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of employee relations practices, performance management, HR policies, and employment compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with sound judgment and professionalism.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate a situation and provide thoughtful, practical recommendations.
- Comfortable coaching managers at different levels of the organization.
- Strong communication, documentation, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to work with increasing independence and recognize when issues should be escalated to senior HR leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a trusted HR resource for managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, workplace concerns, policies, performance, and day-to-day people matters.
- Coach managers on effective interviewing and selection practices while helping coordinate pre-employment activities, approvals, background screening, and other hiring requirements.
- Partner with recruiting and compensation teams as needed throughout the hiring and offer process.
- Support a positive new-hire experience by facilitating HR orientation and following up with employees and managers to promote successful onboarding and integration.
- Provide counsel to managers, supervisors, and employees on workplace issues and help identify practical, consistent solutions.
- Assist HR leadership with investigations involving employee complaints, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, unfair treatment, or other workplace concerns.
- Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures while helping ensure consistent application across assigned business groups.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations, escalating potential risks or concerns when appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing HR policies, processes, and procedures.
- Partner with management on performance management and corrective action, helping ensure issues are documented and addressed consistently and appropriately.
- Gather and review documentation associated with employee performance concerns and involuntary separations and provide recommendations to HR leadership.
- Coordinate the exit process for departing employees, including exit interviews, and identify recurring themes, retention concerns, or potential organizational issues.
- Assist with unemployment claims and related documentation to help manage organizational exposure.
- Support HR initiatives and special projects, which may include job description development, annual performance and merit cycles, employee programs/events, reporting, and workforce analysis.
- Build effective working relationships across the organization and provide responsive, solutions-oriented HR support.
