Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A) – Hybrid – North Houston, TX
Direct Hire | $95,000–$115,000 + 5% Annual Bonus

Icon Consultants is partnering with a global leader in energy technology and equipment manufacturing to hire a Senior Financial Analyst for its North Houston facility. This is a direct-hire role on a team of three. It’s a strong fit for someone who wants a long-term home and likes building financial models, not just maintaining them.

Schedule & Work Setup

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
• No travel required

What You’ll Do

• Analyze divisional financial statements against budget and forecast, and present P&L results and insights to leadership
• Prepare rolling forecasts and annual budgets across multiple business lines and locations
• Lead monthly variance analysis, including actual-to-forecast, trend, gross margin (third-party and intercompany sales), and operating margin
• Oversee accurate revenue recognition using percentage-of-completion (POC)
• Build and automate KPI reporting for operations and management
• Find and implement process improvements across finance and operations
• Support internal and external audits and maintain SOX-compliant internal controls

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required)
• 5+ years of relevant FP&A or financial analysis experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling techniques
• Hands-on experience building, analyzing, and troubleshooting financial models inPower Query
• Business Intelligence competency with tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and strong accounting fundamentals
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to turn financial data into clear business insights
• A track record of steady tenure, with 2+ years in recent roles
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• US work authorization required

Nice to Have

• SQL (hands-on query writing), Snowflake, or Sigma
• Hyperion Financial Management or Oracle
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or oil & gas
• CPA, CMA, or MBA (a plus, but not required; a Bachelor’s degree is the key requirement)
