  • Troubleshoot, back up, and modify PLC and HMI programs (e.g., Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent) within approved change-control procedures and diagnose industrial network and communication faults.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, facility systems, and supporting equipment in accordance with established programs, manufacturer recommendations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis of recurring equipment failures using structured tools (5-Why, fishbone, FMEA) and own resulting corrective actions, parts strategies, equipment modifications, or changes to preventive maintenance practices to improve reliability and reduce downtime; support nonconformance and CAPA investigations as the maintenance subject matter expert.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, technical documentation, and mechanical drawings to safely troubleshoot, repair, install, and start up equipment.
  • Own the equipment calibration program, including scheduling, out-of-tolerance evaluations, coordination of calibration services, corrective actions, and required documentation.
  • Complete and document assigned work orders and preventive maintenance activities in the maintenance management system, including findings, repairs, parts used, failure causes, and follow-up requirements.
  • Maintain accurate preventive maintenance, calibration, inspection, and repair documentation in preparation for internal and regulatory audits and provide technical support during audits as needed.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for OEMs, vendors, and specialty contractors performing complex equipment, electrical, HVAC, controls, compressor, pump, fire-pump, or other technical work.
  • Coordinate contractor and vendor activities by helping define the problem, establishing site access, monitoring work, verifying equipment function, and confirming repairs or services are completed appropriately.
  • Lead the installation, relocation, startup, shutdown, modification, and qualification of new or existing production and facility equipment.
  • Support new equipment implementation by assisting with equipment layout, installation, commissioning, and work instructions; draft and execute IQ/OQ protocols, support PQ, and integrate equipment into the preventive maintenance program in compliance with change-control and validation requirements under FDA QMSR (21 CFR Part 820) and ISO 13485:2016.

  • Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance content, task procedures, and frequencies using failure history and condition-monitoring tools (vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, oil analysis); track and report reliability metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, and unplanned downtime.
  • Serve as maintenance technical lead: prioritize and assign work, train and mentor junior technicians, verify the quality of completed work, and develop maintenance work instructions and training materials.
  • Support the design, development, and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems, processes, equipment, and facility operations.
  • Work with Operations, Engineering, department leaders, vendors, and contractors to plan maintenance and equipment projects while considering production requirements and minimizing operational disruption.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on forklifts, powered industrial trucks, warehouse vehicles, and related material-handling equipment.
  • Ensure all work is documented in the maintenance system and that unsafe equipment is promptly removed from service.
