Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintainautomated test scripts and frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Playwright.
• Design and executefunctional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop reusable automation components usingJavaScript/TypeScript with Playwright.
• Maintain and enhanceSelenium-based automation frameworks using Java.
• Perform web application automation across multiple browsers and environments.
• Integrate automation suites withCI/CD pipelines and analyze test execution results.
• LeverageAI/Generative AI capabilities to improve test automation, test-case generation, test analysis, and QA processes.
• Analyze automation failures, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects in collaboration with development teams.
• Participate in test planning, requirement analysis, code reviews, and release validation.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure application quality.
• Perform database validation and backend data verification when required.

Skill Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience withJava and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience withSelenium WebDriver and Selenium automation frameworks.
• Strong experience withPlaywright for modern web application automation.
• Good programming knowledge inJavaScript or TypeScript, particularly for Playwright automation.
• Experience with Playwrightlocators, assertions, fixtures, hooks, waits, browser contexts, parallel execution, and reporting.
• Knowledge ofPage Object Model (POM) and reusable automation framework design.
• Practical experience or exposure toAI/Generative AI, particularly AI-assisted testing, test-case generation, test automation, or AI-based QA tools.
• Good understanding ofAPI testing, REST APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, and authentication.
• Knowledge ofGit, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD, and test management/defect tracking tools.
• Good to have: Database/SQL knowledge for backend validation and data verification.
• Strong understanding ofSDLC, STLC, Agile methodology, and software testing principles.
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
