What to Expect

The Creative Design team within Tesla’s Infrastructure organization is looking for a talented, motivated, and creative individual to join in a rewarding and fast-paced work environment based in Palo Alto. You will work alongside Studio Architects and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team on a wide range of local and international architectural projects focused on workplace environments. The position provides a unique opportunity to contribute to highly visible architectural design. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, quick to adapt, a communicative team player, and passionate about creating great design outcomes across a wide range of budgets and constraints with a proactive, can-do mindset. In this role you will lead the design of workplace projects from early concepts and through construction by developing multiple concept-level design options, renders and concept package drawings. A portfolio must be submitted with your resume. We cannot accept google documents.

What You’ll Do

• Lead design concept ideation and develop multiple concept-level design options
• Research materials, finishes and systems
• Produce architectural and interior detailing
• Conduct site visits and observation reports for data gathering
• Create renderings, diagrams and design presentations for executive-level review
• Communicate design proposals clearly, gather stakeholder feedback, and incorporate changes
• Oversee design workflows, coordinate design reviews, and take projects from concept to completion

What You’ll Bring

• 7-10 years of professional working experience in the design field with workplace environments preferred, including experience with a professional architecture firm
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in modeling and documentation software (Revit required, Rhino preferred), Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and rendering software (Enscape, TwinMotion or similar) with ability to quickly develop multiple design concepts
• Experience producing architectural and interior detailing, renderings, diagrams, and executive presentations
• Excellent communication skills to clearly present design proposals and incorporate stakeholder feedback
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment
