Position: SQL Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilledMS SQL Developer with strong expertise inMicrosoft SQL Server,T-SQL,SQL Server Performance Tuning andPython. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining database solutions, troubleshooting complex database issues, and automating operational tasks. The candidate should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize database solutions usingMicrosoft SQL Server.
• Develop and support complexT-SQL queries,stored procedures,functions,views,triggers, andDynamic SQL.
• PerformSQL Server Performance Tuning andQuery Optimization to improve database and application performance.
• Analyzeexecution plans,indexing strategies,statistics, and database workloads to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Create, schedule, monitor, and maintainSQL Server Agent Jobs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues acrossdevelopment,testing, andproduction environments.
• Develop automation and support scripts usingPython.
• Performroot cause analysis and implement permanent solutions for recurring database issues.
• Collaborate with application teams and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable database solutions.
• Support database deployments, maintenance activities, and production releases.
• Participate inweekend support activities when required

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience withMicrosoft SQL Server.
• Expert-level proficiency inT-SQL Programming.
• Strong experience inSQL Server Performance Tuning andQuery Optimization.
• Extensive experience working withcomplex queries,stored procedures,functions,triggers, andDynamic SQL.
• Good knowledge of creating, scheduling, monitoring, and maintainingSQL Server Agent Jobs.
• Experience withPython scripting for automation, data processing, and support activities.
• Strongdebugging,troubleshooting, andproblem-solving skills.
• Good understanding ofdatabase design principles,indexing, andSQL Server best practices.
• Experience supportingproduction environments andcritical business applications.

• Knowledge ofdatabase backup and recovery strategies.
• Experience withPowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
• Experience withdatabase monitoring,health checks, andcapacity planning.
• Understanding ofdatabase security,permissions, anduser management.
• Exposure toLog Shipping
• Experience with cloud database platforms such asAzure SQL orAWS RDS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree inComputer Science,Information Technology,Engineering, or a related field.
• Microsoft SQL Server Certifications are an added advantage.
