Position Description:Â
The Intern willbe required to work on project(s) relevant to Research and Development (Analytical Chemistry) and presenttheirproject(s) at the end of the internship. As a Research and Development (Analytical Chemistry) Intern, you may be exposed to multiple aspects of R&D, Chemistry, Food Safety and Quality or other areas through orientation meetings, shadowing, and on the job training:Â
- Characterization of samples through basic analysis (brix, acidity, pH, etc.)Â
- HPLC analysis of samples (sugars, etc.)Â
- Pesticide analysis (GC-MS, LC-MS/MS)Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Forensic analysis of samplesÂ
- Experimental design and data analysisÂ
- Preparing and presenting projectsÂ
Minimum Knowledge,Skills and Ability requirements:Â Â
Must be a current student enrolled in aMaster’s Degree or PhDProgram - In Food Science, Food Chemistry,Chemistry or other relatedareaÂ
Mustdemonstrateproficiencyinbasic laboratory techniques and experimental designÂ
Experience with GC,LC and/orcolumn chromatography/fractionation.Â
Must be project oriented and able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingÂ
Highly organized, self-motivated with the ability to work independentlyÂ
Pay Range:Â
$30.00 - $32.00Â
Duration & Location:Â
Position will start June 8, 2027, and run for 10-12 weeks.Â
Traditional work week but with summer Fridays 8:00am-12:30pm; flexibility and off-site work may berequired for project travel, experimental test runs, customer discovery.   Â
Interns will have the opportunity toparticipate in multiple events throughout the summer including leadership panels, a day of fun inBoston and learning sessions from various business functions.Â
This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA (about 45 minutes South of Boston – Exit 6off ofRte 495).Â
