Sports Betting Commercial Lead (Kinshasa, DRC)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Sports Betting Commercial Lead to drive the growth and commercial performance of a growing sports betting business in the DRC.

The role will focus on developing and executing the commercial strategy, increasing sales across retail shops and POS agents, improving product performance and identifying new revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the commercial strategy for sports betting products.

• Drive sales growth across retail shops, POS agents and retail partners.

• Monitor performance against commercial KPIs and identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability.

• Analyse customer betting behaviour, market trends and competitor activity.

• Work closely with Marketing to develop promotions, campaigns and customer acquisition initiatives.

• Collaborate with Operations to ensure effective retail execution and product availability.

• Work with the Trading team to optimise the betting offer based on customer demand and market trends.

• Monitor turnover, product penetration and profitability across shops, cashiers and POS agents.

• Prepare sales forecasts, commercial reports and business performance analysis.

• Support the launch of new betting products and commercial initiatives.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulatory requirements and Responsible Gaming standards.

Requirements

• Previous commercial leadership experience within sports betting, iGaming or a related trading or commercial function.

• Good understanding of sports betting economics, including turnover, GGR, NGR and payout ratios.

• Experience developing commercial strategies, launching products and managing promotional campaigns.

• Strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset, with a focus on sales growth and profitability.

• Knowledge of the sports betting market in the DRC or other African markets would be a strong advantage.

• Fluent English is required; French is an advantage, while Lingala would be beneficial.
