About Specter Aerospace

Specter Aerospace is building the next generation of hypersonic vehicles for U.S. Forces and Allies. With offices in Boston and Peabody, MA, Specter leverages its advanced propulsion technologies, manufacturing, and testing capabilities to rapidly develop supersonic and hypersonic systems. This open application will be reviewed for roles based in any/all of our offices. Funded by a mix of government R&D organizations and private funding, Specter is expanding its team in preparation for flight testing and full-scale production.
Role & Responsibilities

• Develop custom systemsrequired for hypersonic flight vehicles 

• Takeinitiative inresearch, design, fabrication, and test offlight-intent hardware 

• Interface withall engineering teams to develop and refine requirements,definetechnical scope, and ensure complete system functionality and scalability 

• Be the Responsible Engineer ofvehicle, test, and/or datasystems,maintaining documentation and knowledge of system performance and constraints 
• Take part in technical meetings, engage in technical discussions, and contribute perspectives 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree inan applicable field 

• Experience withrelevant computer modeling and simulation packages 

• Comfort with project autonomy and fast-paced work environments 

• Strong collaborative skills and a drive toproduce quality work 

• Available for up to 10% travel for test activities 

• Ability to obtain aDoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenshiprequired)  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous professional OR student team(FSAE, SEDS, AIAA,etc) projectexperiencedirectlyrelevant to the requirements for this position 

• Familiarity with aerospace and military avionicsstandards (IPC, MIL-SPEC,etc) 

• Comfortablefabricating and assembling in-house
  prototypes of custom systems
