Specialist, COO (Data Officer, AVP-VP, GTS)

Responsibilities

• Unit Data Owner and coordinator, incl. coordination of all unit data governance related tasks.
• Responsible on unit business data visualization, incl. business dashboard iteration, data maintenance, new dashboard development, unit data-mart maintenance.
• Support to prepare financial outlooks and forecasts to provide a clear view of business status to assist in driving the business.
• Perform analysis on product and/or customer portfolio to proactively identify business characteristics, key trends and risk profiles.
• Work with COO on business planning and budgeting process.
• Designing rich data visualizations to communicate complex ideas to senior management.
• Partner with product teams, and fellow engineers to understand their data and analytics needs and design/publish dashboards and reporting that allow them to execute more effectively.
• Build/maintain data models & ETL pipelines for getting, processing, and delivering data that will make DBS more data driven.
• Work with various cross functional teams like IT and Data Management team to troubleshoot the tech issues during the data ETL process.
• Run ad-hoc queries & exploratory data analyses that lead to actionable insights and/or forms basis for advanced analytical experiments.
• Become an expert on all aspects of DBS's big data infrastructure.
• Investigating/researching new concepts/technologies and their impact on the future of transaction banking.

Education and Relevant Experience

• Bachelor or above.
• Degree holder preferably in Computer Science, Math and Statistics or related discipline with at least 7 years of relevant working experience in Data Analytics or Business Management. Experience in banking industry will be preferred but not a must.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
