- Oversee the implementation of the special needs ministry at Cornerstone campuses.
- Develop, maintain, and staff environments that support the unique needs of children and students with special needs.
- Manage a growth-oriented ministry with goals that align with the mission and vision of the church.
- Educate volunteer leaders in NextGen Ministries and church-wide teams on the importance of individuals with special needs and how to effectively include them in our ministries.
- Work with NextGen volunteers and ministry leaders to identify and serve individuals with special needs.
- Present during ministry times to support the special needs volunteer team, connect with families, and help new families assimilate.
- Recruit, process, and train volunteer teams to support our special needs families’ unique needs.
- Build a team that enables all individuals with special needs to participate in NextGen programming at age-specific services and events.
- Must know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
- Must be willing to become a regular attendee of Cornerstone Church.
- Willing to commit to supporting God’s work at Cornerstone through prayer, Bible study and generosity.
- Passion for God, families, kids and students.
- Terrific people skills with an ability to inspire volunteer leaders.
- Possess a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Collaborate with NextGen team, both kids and students.
- Participate in weekly NextGen staff meetings
- Participate in weekly staff prayer meetings and regularly scheduled staff meetings
- Participate in events & represent Cornerstone externally as needed.
- Calm under pressure and able to make quick decisions.
- Possess a willingness to learn and grow professionally.
- Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and flexible.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable building teams and developing talent (staff and volunteers).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work under pressure and meet firm deadlines.
- Self-motivated, diligent, and thinks about the next step and opportunity
- Points out contributions of others, shares credit, and emphasizes team over self
- Has the ability to manage teams of staff, volunteers, and interns.

- Bachelor's degree in special education or relevant experience
- Relevant ministry/work experience
- Ministry or volunteer experience required
