About Flutter Functions:

The Flutter Functions division is a key component of Flutter Entertainment, responsible for providing essential support and services across the organization. The division encompasses various corporate functions, including finance, legal, human resources, technology, and more, ensuring seamless operations and strategic alignment throughout the company.

Role Overview

We are looking for a SOX IT Controls Analyst to support the day-to-day operation of the technology controls that underpin Flutter’s Group Finance activities.

Working closely with the Head of SOX IT, you will help coordinate control execution, evidence collection, assurance activity, remediation tracking and management reporting. You will work with stakeholders across Technology, GRC, Internal Controls, Audit and Finance to ensure that control activities are completed on time and supported by clear, reliable evidence.

This role does not independently test controls. Instead, you will help prepare control owners for testing and coordinate requests from the Internal Controls Assurance team and External Audit.

Key Responsibilities

·       Maintain control calendars, trackers, documentation and evidence repositories.

·       Coordinate the timely execution of SOX IT controls.

·       Contact control owners about upcoming activities, evidence requirements and deadlines.

·       Collect and organise evidence supporting control performance.

·       Perform an initial review of evidence to identify missing information or obvious inconsistencies.

·       Support the preparation of control owners for walkthroughs and testing.

·       Coordinate evidence requests and follow-up questions from Internal Controls Assurance and External Audit.

·       Maintain accurate records of testing activity, findings and outstanding actions.

·       Track control deficiencies and remediation plans through to completion.

·       Follow up overdue actions and escalate delivery risks to the Head of SOX IT Controls.

·       Prepare routine dashboards and management reporting.

·       Support improvements to control documentation, processes and evidence requirements.

·       Help identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate controls.

The role supports controls covering:

·       IT General Controls

·       Automated IT Application Controls

·       Interfaces and scheduled job monitoring

·       Technology change management

The technology environment includes AWS, networks, identity and access management, HR systems, data warehouses, procurement systems, GitHub, Jira, Confluence and other enterprise technology services.

Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required

·       Experience in SOX IT controls, IT audit, technology risk, compliance, IT governance or a related area.

·       Experience supporting a SOX compliance programme in a US-listed company or similarly regulated organisation.

·       A working understanding of IT General Controls and technology controls relevant to financial reporting.

·       Experience collecting evidence, maintaining trackers or coordinating assurance and audit requests.

·       Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify missing or inconsistent information.

·       Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

·       Clear written and verbal communication skills.

·       Confidence in following up actions with stakeholders.

·       The ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams.

·       Strong spreadsheet, documentation and workflow-management skills.

Experience with AWS, identity platforms, enterprise applications, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, GRC systems or control automation would be advantageous.

Professional qualifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP or an equivalent qualification are advantageous. Candidates studying towards a relevant qualification may also be considered.
